kirbys_girl52 asked:
I am 14 weeks along. My breasts are sore. I massage them for comfort. A few days ago, when I was doing so, a clear liquid began seeping from 4 or 5 what seemed like holes in my nipple. And any time I squeeze my breast it continues. I have yet to have an ultrasound. My doctor won’t do one before 18 weeks. Is it possible that I’m further along than she thinks or is this common in early pregnancy?

yes it is common beause your system is changing during the progress of preganacy. Just dont squeeze your breast anymore. You will feel a lot worst after your baby is born because the liquid will eventually leaking.

I leaked my last month with my first child and I never did with my second.

It is common at that time in your pregnancy. My two oldest kids were 16 months apart. My milk never dried up from the first child and I was pregnant with the second. I had milk during the whole second pregnancy. I even had clear liquid for several years after the pregnancy was done.

On second pregnancy started at about eight weeks told it was completely normal don’t worry.

Some women do have colostrum very early. Some women never leak colostrum but can still breastfeed just fine. Many women begin leaking colostrum in the third trimester. Anything is normal.
Get some breast pads to wear in your bra to help protect your clothes.

every woman handles each pregnancy their own way…..Go get a book called ” what to expect when you are expecting” by Heidi Murkoff. It’s the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It’s excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is “normal” or not.
Good Luck!

You are perfectly normal. Some women do not experience this until further along. Some women do not experience this at all.
It is simply your hormones kicking in. It may increase as your pregnancy moves along, but not to worry.
If it does increase, you can insert nursing pads into your bra so you don’t wet through your clothing.

To my knowledge and experience with 2 boys and 14 wks. now with #3, this should not be happening till month 9, if at all. You should definately discuss this with your doctor asap to be safe. Good luck and God Bless!
