More importantly, why does the head of most babies are usually abnormally large after such a pregnancy?
I am more looking for an answer on why there heads are usually large after such a pregnancy.

It is a question my teacher has been asking and he wants to know why.

I am exercising and eating better (water, salads etc..) but I am actually gaining weight now! (like a pound every 2 weeks!) I am 7 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight and used to always be petite. Did anyone do something special to lose weight? (other than breastfeeding) Is this normal because it has only been 2 months since I had my son? Any similiar experiences?

And any time I squeeze my breast it continues. I have yet to have an ultrasound. My doctor won’t do one before 18 weeks. one of my freinds told me that her sister had a baby and she had to get the baby examined and the doctor had to stick his arm all the way to his elbow to see where the head is…has this ever happened to you moms?
shes 6′3″…but do they really stick up their whole hand to feel where the baby is? why cant they do an ultrasound?

I am 5 months and have gained three pounds. I have friends who have gained 10 pounds throughout their pregnancy and even a very heavy-set friend who said she gained only 1 pound. Is that even possible? I know every pregnancy is different but would still appreciate answers.
