I had an ultrasound at 6w and there was a yolk sac, but my u/s at 7w4d showed an empty sac. I am now 8w4d and I am still having the same pregnancy symptoms and my hcg levels are still rising but are low and not raising very quickly. after the 7w4d u/s they were only about 7000. Why do I still feel pregnant?

Do I need to fill out some sort of application for that or what?? And do I have to have medical certification for pregnancy on FMLA leave?

We think our larger female dog might be pregnant by our tiny male dog. We were told the small dag was fixed before we got him, but found out too late that he hadn’t been. She’s lactating and has become some what cranky. Since the daddy is a small breed, we don’t expect her to get very big. Could this be a pseudo pregnancy? I was pregnant for about 3 months and misscarried. Right after I came home from the hospital is when she started lactating. Yes I know I should have had her fixed so please don’t post answers telling me something I all ready know. I got both my dogs from people who didn’t want them or didn’t have time to care for them. We know for a fact that she couldn’t haven been gotten by any neighboring dogs due to the fact she’s never outside without a leash. We would have had her fixed by now but I’m diabetic and in and out of the hospital and somehow manage to miss the chances to get her fixed.
Since we got him from family, we thought they were telling the truth and didn’t think they would lie about something like that. And since he was so fuzzy you couldn’t really tell without digging.

I just had a miscarriage last week and I still have not recovered. I’m so sad, but I do not want to lose hope. I really want to start trying again after three to five months.

The doctor said that the miscarriage had nothing to do with me or my body. She said most likely the pregnancy wasn’t developing normally due to a chromosome problem

My question is: what are the chances of a normal healthy pregnancy for me the next time I try?

I’m talking about the occasional case of a young woman who somehow ignores a pregnancy until a baby suddenly arrives. This often ends in tragedy when the girl panics and abandons the child. What influences could lead to this behavior?

1) On a small scale - what sort of family dynamics might she have, what sort of personality, etc. What might pre-dispose a young woman to ignoring a pregnancy?

2) On a larger scale, is our society somehow leading to this problem? Is there such shame involved with teen pregnancy? Is it a lack of resources for mothers? Is it an emphasis on career over motherhood? Or, could it be an emphasis on avoiding abortion? Any and all ideas are welcome.
A pregnancy is often not seen as a blessing, even for women with adequate resources. Even a surprise pregnancy in a 25 year old with a job is greeted with “oh no!” by friends and family. That’s what I mean by “an emphasis on career over motherhood”.

I have had endometriosis for the last few years and was on birth control to help to keep it from speading. The doctor told me when I wanted to get pregnant just to stop the birth control right before so I went off of birth control about a month and a half ago hoping to get pregnant while I can. During the last few weeks I have had a lot of stomach cramping and nausea and sharp pains in my abdomen area, especially slightly on the right side. I seem to have some early pregnancy symptoms, nausea, swollen breasts, and cramping, but my period is not for about a week, and I did try a pregnancy test but of course I got a negative because it’s too soon anyway. Does it sound like I could be pregnant? What are early pregnancy symptoms like for someone who has endometriosis? Is it just a little more painful than a regular pregnancy?
